Friday,

I decided to go get my hair did. After not showering for 3 days and having the 2013 flu for 5 days, I felt fugly! I've been wanting to go lighter and because my hair dresser is the God of color, I trust her with anything.

It will most likely take two more visits with her to get the all over color but she is amaze balls!!!

We went to a little redneck dive bar so that the men could play poker that night. Why did we go??? Because they have recliners that are in front of the fire place and the best decor EVER!

Saturday was my good deed day. The hubs and I have a friend in Afghan. His wife is manning both of their homes while he is deployed. They are trying to sell their primary home and she lives in a rental with her children. Due to the SUB-ZERO temperatures that grazed our graces this week, she had maximized all of her heating options and her reality property had dropped to 40 degrees! She lives on a extremely steep hill (think black diamond with a -10 windchill on the back of a mountain) and the gas company refused to go down her driveway due to the snow and ice. So my bro in law, his bro in law and me and my sister made a special delivery to her house.......

Saturday night we hung out with some friends and made enchiladas and drank beeritas! #ootd you ask???

Sunday morning I decided to make some blueberry pancakes...from scratch. However, I made these pancakes with baking SODA instead of powder. Shortly after we finished eating, I realized this. I then called my mom in panic mode and googled the shit out of "consumption of baking soda". We are still alive today to talk about it.

 After breakfast we took the pups out back for a bit to run around and I captured some really great pics them!!!

Ha!!! I have met some great gals via twitter/blogging that I love spending Humpday with (yes Humpday gets a capital H). Why these 5 great gals? 

 Because we drink wine together!!

My November Goal list

 Because the holidays are right around the corner, I'm sharing my goal/to do list for the month of November with you. Not because I think you'll care and sure as hell not because I care if you know about it but,

it is the only way that I will feel obligated to fulfill these goals or at least feel accountable (since storing them in my iphone doesn't mean jack). Lately the list just keeps getting longer, my car is turning in to a dump truck and my liver wants to punch me in the face.

First and foremost, I have been exhausted. lately. It doesn't matter if I get 10 hours of sleep or 14. I wake up tired. On work nights, I want to be in bed by 10:45, the latest. Since work nights only happen three days a week, this should be a very attainable goal.

NUMBER 2. I'm trading coffee in for hot lemon water. I've read some great benefits to this including making your digestive system regular. Who doesn't need a little regularity? This does not mean that I wont be drinking coffee at all. Some mornings I just can't deal. 

 

I will also be adding a green smoothie to my diet. Every morning I blend 1 apple, 2 celery stalks, 1 head of romaine lettuce, 3 cups of spinach, 1 banana, 1 1/2 cups of water and 2 tbs of lemon juice. I've done this in the past and it's a great way to get in fruits and veggies. BONUS, it makes your skin look great and also helps with "the getting regular" goal.

Clean my car. For some reason, I think that it's okay to live out of my vehicle. I've learned that whether I drive a Caddy or a Kia, I still pack the crap in it. There is always a few changes of clothes, lottery tickets (losers), bills, empty water bottles, gym bag, chapsticks, shoes, bobbypins and trash in my vee-heh-cul.

It's not like I even have an on the road job for Christ sake (capital C for you Christ lovers). Which brings me to my next goal.

Make some time for Big J. 

Jesus.

  Yeah, I say my nightly prayers but my butt should be heading to church a few times this holiday season. I feel thankful for some much this year and I'm going to tell him about it.

MY POOR ENDS. I swear this morning I heard the ends of my hair screaming as I was stretching it out   with the round brush. I need a hair appointment and I WILL do this before the end of November. 

The last two goals of mine are a figment of my imagination.

This will only stop upon Apocalypse. So that still gives me 8 weeks to get fooshnickered and wear sassy shoes while doing it. It also gives me 8 weeks to get high and tight with JC too.

 Happy Friday peeps! This was the longest.week.ever. One of my coworkers left our office with no notice and left us high and dry. Unfortunately we all knew that it was coming due the changes in her work ethic, but we just were hoping for at least 2 weeks notice. Crazy busy.

1) I'm on time for everything, I'm usually always early. Tardiness irks me.
2) My husband was my booty call for 6 years.
3) I do not care for ice cream at all. I know, weirdo.
4) I only drink red wine in the winter and the white in the summer.
5) I've tried "to-do" lists numerous times but I get overwhelmed
with having a list and just do it all at that moment.
6) I have an healthy obsession with shoes. I have purchased 8 pairs with in the last
3 weeks. I'm surprised that I'm not divorced.
7) I still wear my retainers to bed
8) Fall is my favorite season, partially because my bday is in October
9) I HATE folding laundry. I dress out of the dryer. I generally just turn the dryer on for 10 minutes when ever I am going to wear something out of it, and de-wrinkle my clothes.

 11) I  had a nose job 10 years ago, and It was totally worth it.

1) Are you a cat or a dog person? Or neither and prefer a snake/something random as a pet? NO! Just dogs!!!

2) If you were stuck with wearing one color for the rest of your life what would it be? Black, I have a ton of black in my wardrobe, it's so universal

3) What is your favorite accessory? My new anniversary Earrings from the hubs. OMGEEE. David Yurmans.

4) How did you come up with the name of your blog? Well, I love DIY and I'm a dental Hygienist. 

5) Tomorrow you win the lottery....would you tell people? Or keep it a secret and begin many random acts of kindness? Nope I'd tell and share. I'd be donating some to charity and I would make sure my family and friends wouldn't struggle ever again ;)

6) If you could give your 16 year old self any advice what would it be? Don't quit dance, it was so easy to eat and stay thin.

7) Got any weird family traditions? And by that I mean singing odd songs, weird food, etc etc?  No but we do open presents on Christmas eve. 

8) Worst beauty product you have ever used?  I have a love hate relationship with Retinol. I love it but sometimes my face gets super dry and peels off. A week later it looks great lol.

9) Do you online shop? If so what is the best website you've found? I love Etsy and Victoria's Secret. Uncommon Goods is a great site for unique gifts.

 10) How do you keep your closet organized? Or is it a hot mess? I go through spurts. Sometimes it's clean and fancy and other times it looks like a tornado went through it.

11) What's the #1 thing on your Christmas wish list this year? Ugh I haven't even thought about that!!!
